I started my health journey in 2020. Taking my health seriously had never been a priority for me; it was always easier to ignore. However, I realized that my decision to ignore it would eventually have consequences for the people I care about, such as my wife and sons. Not being able to be active and live a full life was always just an excuse for me, but I didn’t want my sons to have me as a role model at that stage. So, I took responsibility and started my journey.

In 2020, I joined Willow Way to assist in speeding up my weight loss. I gained much more than I could have ever imagined. Unintentionally, I made great friends who motivate me to continually be a better version of myself. I have been a member since the first day Willow Way Atterbury opened their doors, and I can honestly say it feels like an extension of my home. The coaches are great and have become friends, and the staff and coaches are authentic and real. Knowing and trusting them has allowed me to consistently improve throughout my time there. Just consistently showing up to the classes was effectively all it took to improve my health in the long run. Without sounding like a “fat loss” commercial, I am really able to live an active life and I am one step closer to being a better person and role model to the people I care about.

I’ve always tried to exercise and train throughout my life, but I never had the proper motivation to stay committed.
Since joining Willow Way, it has been so easy to stay committed and train. Going to the gym now is very convenient and part of my routine, and the results quickly showed. I’m now in the best shape of my life. My morning sessions set me up for the rest of the day and keep me motivated throughout the day.
My fitness level has also drastically increased, and I have much more energy to enjoy all the other parts of my life and hobbies, like entertaining my kids with whatever they ask of me and even putting together a solid round of golf without deteriorating towards the end like I used to do. Although my fitness level is at its best that it has ever been in my adult life, I’m still motivated by the coaches and myself to work and push harder to increase this level. It’s so much fun to actually see the results and general improvement, and I’m very excited about my life and the journey ahead.

After living a sedentary lifestyle my entire adult life, it wasn’t easy deciding to start exercising. However, from the day I walked into Willow Way Atterbury, my apprehensiveness, level of fitness, and skill level were all considered. Initially, my plan was to exercise at least three times a week. Now, I feel disappointed if I don’t attend classes six days a week. Willow Way Fitness is about more than just exercising. Going to the gym at Willow Way Atterbury is the best start to my day; it really gets me going. The facilities are awesome – always neat and clean. It’s a great feeling to know that I’ll be arriving at the gym to train with like-minded people and be trained by coaches who want more from life, but who also want to help us as members improve and we have fun while doing it.
When I first started at Willow Way, I was very overweight, weighing 140kg. But with their help, I lost around 40kg. They have been with me through thick and thin, helping me not only improve my physical appearance but also gain confidence in my abilities and what I can do inside and outside of the gym.
